"Oh whatever makes her happy on a Saturday night"

Howdo!

Well, I had a simply spiffing time down in London with Spins & Charby.
The Natural history museum was a bit of a pain just because of the large amount of folks there, so we bailed out & into the pub.

It was soon time to meet up with the lovely Charbs for an evening of much alcohol. Which, to be honest, if you're out with Charby you don't get a lot of choice as Spins would surely testify. My long dormant responsible gene must have kicked in because on leaving the pub I felt alarmingly sober as I set about the task of getting my companions safely home. Which I fell I did with some finesse.
Actually, finesse is hardly an appropriate word for that hour or two, eh girls?

As I already knew, Charby is a hoot to be with &, at the risk of embarrassing her, she is growing up into a very attractive young woman (which again Spins will testify).

Readers of Mr. Mystic's blog will know that I have recently been compared to a hobbit. Charby didn't know this. So when asked if any of the hobbits were fanciable she said that 3 of them were. Do I have to say which one isn't?

As for Spins, well the word lovely is oft used & to be fair it doesn't really do her justice. She is warm, kind , funny & as I discovered more than once; very perceptive. I enjoyed all our time spent together & will happily treasure the memory of it.
I won't go on because I don't want to spoil a future post that I owe her & Scully.

Since the weekend I've been just hanging out with Nice getting stoned, playing x-box & watching movies. High Fidelity & Donnie Brasco seeing as you asked. I enjoyed both but I thought High Fidelity was excellent, it left me feeling very happy & with some food for thought about how I conduct myself in terms of romance.

Right, work as started on Album 2 again. As with "Confessions of an idiot" I have set myself a release date. I have found that I work with much better focus when I have a target. So make a note in your diary: October 2nd = Album 2 by Gnu Cnu.
I came up with a lovely little part of a song today at work, it's likely to become a pivotal part of a song I'm hoping to call "Winter with the Lyonnais".

Anyway time is short & the list of things I have to get on with is long, so I'll be off...

Ha! Flash the Hobbit! I think that's harsh. You're too tall to be a hobbit. More a dwarf.

Sounds lovely. I hope in a month you will be writing about me.

I also can't wait for my copy of the album.

    I get one, right?

Oh the embarrasment of it all! Not only the compliments but the vague memories of my trip home!

Spins definately needs to get some drinking practise in before she comes over again! She needs to learn how to down her drinks with a straw!

Finesse? I think the better word for you on Saturday night/Sunday morning might have been patience!

Hi Fidelity is a fab movie. I understand the book is quite good if you would like to try another book/movie combo. Along the same vein, have you seen School of Rock? It's funny and worth a look.

I've got to go pay off some late fees for videos tomorrow, so I can start renting again!

you're not a hobbit and you're not a dwarf. What you are is a little legend, and I look forward to Gnu Cnu 2. Consider the date in my diary circled.

"Winter with the Lyonnais"? You're turning into the Pet Shop Boys.

    (never a bad thing, incidentally)

the hobbits were all fit apart from Sam. So I gather. Look at that beardy one from "Lost" - he's going out with the fit Lost criminal bird so being a hobbit could well be the way forward. You might find it hard to buy shoes, though.

hee hee. My wife's American (but schooled in drinking here in England) and when ever her friends come over or when we go over there we always drink everyone under the table!

Charby, I notice from your profile you're a zoologist. Me too! Well, a lapsed one anyway.
