"Lucky, lucky, you're so lucky!"
How you doin'?
I've had a couple of computer-free days which has been quite nice.
So on Wednesday, Dream Girl's brother won the national lottery. I shit you not.
He was one of 4 to get the jackpot & is now over £680,000 better off, jammy bastard!!
Needless to say all in the Dream Girl family circle are quite, quite giddy.
So it's all kicking off at the moment in World of Flash; I am just about over my bout of illness & I'm raring for Monday evening when I zip down the motorway to Wembley arena to spend the evening in the company of Depeche Mode. Yay! I'm to understand that The Bravery are supporting too, which is nice.
Then at the weekend I shall be spending some time, again down in London, with the lovely Spins! She is due to hit these shores any day now & I'm very much looking forward to meeting her in person. If my understanding is correct, there is also something of a blog get together going on next Saturday where several of us shall be chewing the fat, quaffing some ale & having a good time all round.
Well, after years of threatening it, I've finally done it. On May 4th I shall be reacquaintingg myself with Birmingham international airport. Not Lyon this time though. This time the great winged beast will be transporting me all the way to New York city! Yay, yay, thrice yay!!!
Where I will be meeting at least one more blogger in the shape of Hyde. I'm really hoping it ends up more than one though.
I amextremelyy excited about it, I tell thee.
And after feeding you all that lovely news, I'll be off.
Cheerio.

That's splendid news Mr Flash! I hope you have as good a time as I did last week - and perhaps you can pass on the ST hug to Hyde, while you're there, as I completely failed in that mini-mission!
Oh - have lots of top blogland fun next weekend too!

And here I am in the land of rain. The difference between the weather here and at home...it's much more humid here.
That's fantastic you are getting to finally go to NY. I know that's been on your list for awhile.
Sadly, it seems that our blogger gathering is going to be you, Charby and me. (Actually, it's great that it will be us, but sad that others will be missing from the mix for a variety of reasons.) I'm still anticipating a smashing time!

I'm speechless!
I'm also probably not going to be that other blogger, though I'll try my very very best to become available. How long is your stay??
I need an email and more information, definatly.
Congrats to that lucky brother bastard.
Enjoy your time w/ Spins. Take pics of all the bloggers together.
One month!

Ooh! Depeche Mode!
I wondered why there were a bunch of people in Depeche Mode t-shirts getting on the train at Wembley Park tonight ...
Enjoy the gig, I'm jealous!

Blimey. Have a great time with the fellow bloggers.
When I was in New York it was 2003 and luckily I was stuck in the airport for virtually a whole day as i'd timed my flight back home for when they had that huge blackout. Brilliant.

Wow that sounds liek fun, a blogger meet up. I keep thinking all the ones in the Us should meet up and have a BBQ. But then, you know, outside of our meat eating preferences there's the trouble of how far spread out the lot of us are. I do hope you have fun while you're in the states though. I've never been to new york, you'll have to tell me whether the visit is all its cracked up to be [discounting the lovely Hyde, of course, who wouldn't adore time with her?]
